I am a lifelong cyclist and a few years ago I also took up running. I loved it; still do, but unfortunately, the combined efforts of both sports took their toll on my body and in seeking a means of maintaining my training, helping me recover and keeping myself injury free I discovered the positive benefits of regular sports massage.
I had been working for British Cycling for a number of years and had reached a point where I was seeking out my next career move. The opportunity was there, and wanting to remain in a sporting environment, I took the bold decision to return to college in order to train as a sports masseur. A few years down the line here I am with tuned sports massage.
I still train regularly and compete in running, cycling and duathlon events through the year, but as well as the reward of my own achievements I also get to share in my clients too as I help them prepare for and recover from their sporting goals and targets, whether that be a full distance Ironman or from couch to 5k.
